A Great Scottish Partnership
Galloway® Cheddar and the Scottish Wildlife Trust have joined forces to celebrate this year’s Wildlife Week – Scotland’s National Week for Wildlife. Running from 7-15 June, Wildlife Week has over 200 events planned throughout Scotland, designed for the whole family to enjoy.
Commenting on the partnership, Renee Milkop-Kerr from Lactalis McLelland, makers of Galloway® Cheddar said: “As Scotland’s favourite cheddar, Galloway® has been at the heart of Scottish life since its launch in 1959.
Continuing, Renee says: “This is a great opportunity to get the whole family together to learn more about beautiful Scottish wildlife and of course enjoy a family day out with a picnic!”
Now in its sixth year in Scotland, Wildlife Week aims to highlight Scotland’s natural beauty and continue to raise awareness of threatened habitats and species. With a wide variety of activities to choose from, visitors can expect to enjoy wildlife safaris, close-up peregrine and osprey watching or, for the more daring, a trip into the Dragon’s Den at Dean Castle to name but a few.
SWT’s Wildlife Week Coordinator, Elly Douglas-Hamilton said, “Scotland’s National Week for Wildlife is growing in popularity and gives people the opportunity to try a range of wildlife-based activities across Scotland. This is the first time we’ve partnered with a food brand and we believe Galloway® to be a great fit because of its heritage and family values.”
